「戦争と平和、どっちが良いんですか」という言葉は
「喧嘩と健康、どっちが良いんですか」というのと同じで選択肢として成立してない。
圧倒的に強い国が弱い国と戦争しても、国内は平和なまま。
戦争と平和は共存する時点で、どっちか選べという設問は破綻している。

多分、戦争の反対語が平和だと勘違いするから
そういう間抜けなことを言ってしまうんだろうけど、正しく言葉を学べば、
「平和の反対語は混乱であり、それは状態を指す言葉である。
戦争は暗殺、脅迫、政略結婚、買収、対話等と並ぶ外交手段の一つである」
ってことがわかる。

一般人が嫌なのは戦争ではなく混乱の方だ。
社会の混乱（文化的弾圧や徴兵）や経済の混乱が嫌だ、と言っているだけ。
圧倒的戦力で気に入らない相手をブチのめして反撃無く終わる戦争なら
誰も気にも留めないのがその証拠。
そして悪い事に、混乱は戦争しなくても起こる。
その混乱を治めるために戦争という手札を切るってのも歴史上よくある。
なんというか日本の反戦教育はこの辺の前後関係が逆転していて意味がない。
