かつて日本の教育改革を担当したGHQの役人は、こう豪語したそうだ。
「日本の教育を変えて、今後は天才が出ないようにします」

戦後、彼らが押しつけてきた教育プログラムの要点は、次のようなものである。

第一に、白人に対する徹底的な劣等感を植え付けること。
第二に、アメリカは素晴らしい国だと信じ込ませること。
第三に、自分独自の意見を作らせないこと。
第四に、討論や議論を学ばないこと。
第五に、受身のパーソナリティを作ること。
第六に、一生懸命勤勉に仕事させること。
第七に、目立つ人の足を引っ張ること。

これらは、イギリスの植民地だったインドで実践された教育方針そのままだ。
要するに、上からの命令に疑問を持たず、与えれた課題だけを勤勉にこなす“しもべ”を作る教育である。
